Meru Community Knowledge Center, Kenya

The Meru CKC is in the home constituency of the Minister of Higher Education in Kenya. The community members living there are mostly small-scale farmers and the CKC runs a community radio station in the same compound, which is already performing well and is used by many in the community, adults and youth who are expected to take advantage of the next stage of CKC-offered services. The technical component of the CKC, for example, will benefit the youth of the community by providing them access to information.

This community center was installed by SecureNET Technologies, one of Inveneo’s ICIP partners, in May of 2010 and has been in operation since then.
