An Inveneo ICT Partner (an "ICIP") is a leading ICT firm that shows great potential to reach a whole new market: rural and underserved areas in the developing world - mainly in Africa.
We train and support ICIPs in order to deliver rapid results on the ground for both ICIPs and their clients. ICIPs have seen up to $2,000 a month in increased revenue while their clients have experienced much greater ICT reliability and drastically lower operating costs.
Clients can be recruited directly by ICIPs, referred to ICIPs through Inveneo's network of international clients, or can contact ICIPs directly via the Inveneo website.
ICIPs go through a rigorous recruitment, selection and certification process. They receive hands-on field training and ongoing partner-support. Inveneo will also provide Level-3 technical support as needed.
Here is an overview of the ICIP program:
The first step in the process of becoming an ICIP is to submit information about you and your organization through the web form below and a questionnaire you'll download, complete and return to us.
If the skill sets match our requirements, we will set up a meeting or teleconference to discuss technical and business compatibilities. If your organization is a good fit with Inveneo's mission and you pass the technical and business requirements, you will be invited to an Inveneo Certified ICT Partner training.
The Inveneo Certified ICT Partner training is an intensive two-week training program combining classroom training with field training to ensure that our skilled partners are ready to implement rural projects on their own after the training.
The ICIP course curriculum focuses on design, deployment and support of rural ICT systems. Training covers five key solution areas: IT networking, long-distance wireless (WiFi) networking, Linux/Open Source desktop and network management, VoIP system design, and IT power solutions.
Training will also include the use of available tools and templates that we have developed for our partners and will culminate with the installation of an actual rural project to provide hands-on experience for the trainees.
The training is by invitation only and at no cost to the attendees. However, attendees will need to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements and will need to cover the cost of both themselves.
Our timeline for training will be driven by the availability of a rural project that can be used as part of the training. We will let you know of the next training in your region when we have it scheduled.
If you are located in a country we do not currently cover and you have a rural project that is already funded, we can investigate having ICIP training around your project too.
However, before any training happens, you need to take the first steps:
